Your encapsulist will come to your place of birth, pick up your placenta, and transport it to the workspace where it will be processed. Processing can take up to 3 days. After your placenta pills are ready, they will be delivered to you at your home.
Your encapsulist carries certifications in placenta encapsulation, blood borne pathogens, and food safety. Universal Precautions are adhered to during the entire process. Disposable equipment is used whenever possible. All non-disposable equipment and workspaces are washed, sanitized, and rinsed, and equipment is stored in sealed containers between uses. Only one placenta at a time is processed to ensure no cross contamination occurs.
Mothercraft Birth uses client’s preference of the raw method and Chinese Traditional Method (wherein the placenta is steamed with herbs prior to dehydration). All placentas are dehydrated for 24+ hrs prior to encapsulation. Each placenta varies in the number of capsules yielded, although most yield between 100-150. All capsules are made with vegan, size “00” capsules.
